The Lares valley is one of the most picturesque villages in Cusco region is particularly well known for its very high-quality, brightly colored weavings. The trekking route takes you into the remote and rarely visited Lares Valley with the spectacular backdrop of the Urubamba Mountains, and has several snow-capped peaks, such as La Veronica (5,750 m.a.s.l ) (18,8865 feet).The Area offers moderately strenuous trekking, though small mountain villages, crossing passes of over 4,000 m.a.s.l ( 13,123 feet) and you will have the chance to enjoy how the Quechua-speaking inhabitants of the high mountain villages live by farming potatoes and herding llamas and alpacas on the inhospitable flanks of the towering peaks.

- ITINERARY
We pick you up from your hotel at around 7 o’clock in the morning and then we drive for around two hours to Huaran village (2840m.a.s.l) (9317 feet), set up in the Sacred Valley and the starting point of the trek. We will meet our horse leader and horses before begin the walking up hill along the Cancha Cancha River which takes about five hours until to reach the picturesque Cancha Cancha village where we set up camp for the night.

After to have breakfast, we leave the campsite and begin a steep ascent to Pachacuteq Pass (4,458 m.a.s.l) (14,625 feet) where we enjoy spectacular views of the snow-peaked Pitusiray mountain, Pachacuteq glacial Lake, waterfalls and the beautiful surrounding valley. After to get the pass we start the walking down reaching Quiswarani village (3700m.a.s.l) (12,138 feet) where will spend the night.

After breakfast we start the ascent to reach the Huillquijasa second highest Pass (4,200m.a.s.l)(13,779 feet) where we enjoy the most beautiful Andean views surrounding all the valley. After a good break we start to walk down with direction the Hot spring of Lares village setting up the camping close the hot water pools spending a couple of hours in a relaxing bath.

After breakfast we have a walk around the village seeing the Andean life and hot bath in hot spring we take a bus returning to Cusco city.
