CUSCO AND INCA TRAIL 08 DAYS

ITINERARY

DAY 01: CUSCO  ARRIVAL

At your arrival to Cusco city we will pick you up and transport to your hotel.On afternoon visit on horseback riding at Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca pucara, Tambomachay archeological sites located at 10 kilometers from Cusco City.

Option: This could be made also by car instead de horse riding.

Included: Pick up at the airport and transportation, hotel accommodation (3* hotel), entrance fees, tour leader.

DAY 02: CUSCO /  OLLANTAYTAMBO

Visit of the most typical towns of the sacred valley of the Incas where inhabitants are still keeping their ancestor’s traditions (urban system, cultivation fields system, business system, etc) so the towns are Pisac and Ollantaytambo plus archeological sites and typical markets in the mentioned towns.

Included: Breakfast, transportation, tour leader, entrance fees on mentioned places in the program, hotel in Ollantaytambo town (3* hotel).

DAY 03: OLLANTAYTAMBO / PISCACUCHO / HUAYLLABAMBA (INCA TRAIL)

Early morning we drive to Piscacucho Ville where we meet porters and cook whose will help us to carry the camping equipment and food preparation during the hiking, estimated walking time is 4 to 5 hours.

Camping site is in the Andean community of Huayllabamba an ancient Inca's citadel.

DAY 04: WAYLLABAMBA / PACAYMAYU (INCA TRAIL)

Walking up to warmihuañusca pass which is at 4,200 m.a.s.l (13,776 ft) along the walking, you have the chance to observe the ecology areas changing, as you leave the reasonably mild valley behind and reach the treeless pastures in the cold high parts. So got the high pass we start the descent until the second campsite named Pacaymayu.

Estimated walking time: 7 to 8 hour

DAY 05: PACAYMAYU/ WIÑAYHUAYNA (INCA TRAIL)

One of the most exiting days of the trail due along the hiking path we can observe archeological sites remaining into the picturesque forest. At the end of the day we get the last Campsite in the beautiful Wiñayhuayana Inca’s village.

Estimated walking time: 6 to 7 hours

DAY 06: WIÑAYHUAYNA/ MACHUPICCHU (INCA TRAIL)

Early in the morning we start the walking for two hours till sun gate to enjoy the sunrise on from a great spot view and then plus one hour walk down we reach Machu Picchu ancient stone city where we spend enough time to enjoy a guided tour and exploring by you own plus Huaynapicchu mountain where there is a great view of all Machupicchu valley.

On afternoon bus down to Aguas Calientes town where we catch train back to Cusco city it for four hours.

Included in the Inca Trail: Transportation to km 82 (where the hiking starts), entrance fees to Inca Trail and Machupicchu, tour leader, porters to carry stuff, cook and meals (03 breakfasts/03 lunches/ 03 dinners), camping equipment (tents, mattresses, tables, chairs, kitchen tent and dinning tent), first aid kit and Oxygen balloon, bus down ticket from Machupicchu to Aguas Calientes town, train ticket from Aguas Calientes town to Cusco, transportation to the hotel, 3* hotel in Cusco.

DAY 07: EXPLORING CUSCO

You have the entire day to explore the city of Cusco at your own place! You can wander off and visit some museums or churches in this beautiful and fascinating center of the Inca Empire, try the exquisite Peruvian cuisine, go shopping or just relax and take a rest.

Included: Breakfast, hotel in Cusco (3* hotel).

DAY 08: CUSCO AIRPORT

Hotel pick up and transportation to the airport.
